I just bought a 2000 Honda CBR 600 and I'm wanting to know if I got a good deal. I paid $5700 and it came with new tires, 2 jet kits (long story), extra rear tire, short shifter, Yoshimura exhaust, and helmet. Someone tried to steal it, but didn't get too far. I think it was droped when they tried stealing it. Only a few scratches and the lock works fine, but isn't pretty from the ordeal. It also has 11k miles on it. I've looked around and couldn't find a deal better than this.

I'm also trying to get into the scene around the Sac area. Anyone go on rides?

I think you couldve got an 2001-2002 F4i for that price. Look at Recycler classifieds and there are many around that range http://autos.recycler.com/ASP/...&y=10


I got my 00 YZF-R6 for $3300, 18k miles, salvaged, Acrapovic Full Race System, Helmet, Gloves, good running condition and looks.

My friend has a Suzuki TL1000. His is bone stock, and I think my bike sounds a HELL of a lot better than his V-twin exhaust. He is getting the dual yoshi pipes for it in 2 weeks though. But as for now, mine sounds better and I'm glad it came with it, because it would suck having to wait to get it.

11,000 miles is NOTHING on a honda or any other modern sportbike.

 

Just about all the bikes that I looked at had about the same amount of miles or maybe a little more. So I don't think I got screwed on that.

I need to find a good place to get some aftermarket parts. Anyone got some inside info they would want to share?

i agree...with that many miles, on that year of a bike, '00, with a 11k?

i'm in oklahoma and in the local autotrader, you can find '01-'02 f4i's, with around 2500k-6500k miles on them for anywhere from 5500-6800$ some with mods and some stock...and not JUST like a few bikes, like in last weeks biketrader there were atleast 8-10 '01-'02 f4i's under $6500, and all of them had less than 6k miles.

 

maybe the price is a Cali thang.

I got my 99 yellow and black F4 for $4350 with 9400 miles. New tires and full 2 bros exhaust.
