The window on the passenger side of my dads 1994 Honda Accord stopped going up about half way. I took door panel off and weather stripping and saw nothing visably wrong. So I concluded that it is the motor.

Its not possible to fix right now since my car and my mothers will be going into shop but I would like to be able to put the window all the way up.

Im not sure how to get it up given motor integration and stuff don't want to cause un-nessecary damage so any help would be gratefully thanks.

 

SOme 5th gen Accord get dirt in the track and the go real slow or stop. try some type of lubricant and if not just test the motor for 12 volt.

 

after obtaining access to the motor I tried the switch and it didn't make any sound. Could it possibly have gotten stuck on some dirt and then burnt out?

 

Get a new motor on ebay, $65.

 

I will get it fixed later but I need a temp solution for the mean time that I can do which is to just get it in the up position.

 

grab the center brace for the window and push it up if you can

 

I tried doing that but it was stuck and did not want to force it and cause it to not hold onto rail anymore.

So this morning I opened up motor and cranked magnetic turning thing and that got the brace moving up very slowly but it is done a pain in the butt.
