Default missing 1 of 2 o2 sensor, bad?

I have obd2 due to an engine swap

the o2 sensor on exhaust manifold is intact but the o2 sensor on my catalyst convertor is not in place. I found out where it suppose to be plugged into and there is nothing there.

I was just wondering what kind of problem would this situation create?

The ECU does not adjust fuel off the Cat O2 sensor. It will just thro a CEL as genetsang said. You can get a O2 simulator if the CEL bothers you but it wont affect performance.
