Default Throttle body question

Is there any benefit and power to be gained from going to a larger throttle body? Looking for a reliable mod, just wondering if this might be a safe way to go.

what he said. TB should be one of the last things changed, and the stock one is probably sufficient enough for moderately built motors.

if you have a nice set up or some build up on the motor . it helps maintain peak hp (a nice top end )

Thanks for the advice.

I'm stock, except for I/H/E and flywheel. Think I'll leave things as they are for now. I want more power but want reliability more.

My friend just got a JDM ITR Block swapped to his SiRII head and he still retains the SiRII throttle body. Would he see gains upgrading to an ITR throttlebody or a Spoon 70mm throttle body?

anyone experience a whistle coming from their ITR throttlebody?

I recently installed one on my GSR and it whistles. I removed the Intake thinking this was the culprit, but to no avail.

anythoughts?

I believe the whistle is more dramatic since you have the S2 IM. It is not the t/b, unless you do not have it mated properly to the IM. If you listen closely enough, you can hear the whistle with the stock IM and CAI. I heard to get rid of the whistling you need to port the t/b to 64mm so it matches the S2 or R IM.
