Default Parking Light / Turning Light Removal

I have a 2000 integra gsr and i want to know if there is any way to keep the parking lights / turning lights off while the main headlights are on. I want the turning signals only to light up when I put on the turning signal, the rest of the time i want them to stay off. This is all for the front end of the car, not the rear. Let me know if there is any way this can be done.

I don't think it's possible just by switching bulbs... You may try putting a single filament bulb in the blinker spot then it may only light up while blinking but why would you want to do this...? I love the way my Teg looks at dusk with just the parking lights on... That ****'s tough...

I doubt just switching bulbs would change it in any way. Somehow i would have to change the wiring and i was wondering if anyone has done this.

The reason i want to do this is because i have HID's and i think they look much better when they are the only lights visable on the front end at night. Like the BMW X5's damn that looks hot as hell when you see it in a distance, and as it comes by.

But yah if anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

Disconnec the parking lamps. That will shut off the parking lights. As the signals go Youll have to do your research.

The turn signals are a 2 filament bulb. One is the turn signal and one is the parking light. There are separate wires to the bulb for each. You could cut the one that runs the parking light. I don't have my manual here so I can't check the diagram to see which wire it is.

I'll bet the terminal on the base of the bulb could be taped off so that filament does not get power. Take the bulb holder out and turn the lights on and see which filament lights up. The bulbs usually have grease on the terminals so you'll have to clean it off for tape to stick. Then just tape over the terminal on the side that lights up with the parking lights. That way it costs just a few minutes and a little piece of tape and if you want to put it back, just take off the tape.

You might want to check the local traffic laws. There could be a law requiring the front lights. It might also make the local cops choose you as the one to pull over. One added joy of looking different.
