Default Spoon Earthing System

Did I just waste my money on these? Oh well, I guess it seems to get the job done, although it does bling like a ************.

Couple of things though, the negative terminal connector doesn't fit correctly being that it's probably made for JDM cars, and also the system is made for RHD cars so you gotta use different wires on different mount spots. Oh well.

BTW - What is that bottle of JDM spoon lube for?

Yes you did but the bling factor more then makes up the outrages price that Spoon charges. You could probly make a better Earthing system for less then $25. Well I don't know about the Spoon lube bottle but I am guessing that you use that to prevent rust. Because you are supposed to sand the ground connections and where the wires conection to the body.

exposed metal = better electrical conductivity hence the old slot car pickup trick

Oh, so sand down the paint and expose the bare metal of the chassis. I see. I'll do that tomorrow

Start with a 100 grit paper, then work your way down to a 10,000 grit sandpaper. Wet sand in the end.

Alphabetically, sand the area(s) in the shape of the letter A to Z.

This will ensure that your Spoon earthing kit is complimented by your flawless sanding methods.

Enjoy it.

So it doesn't fit the battery properly, and the wires don't fit your non-JDM car, but other than that.... is there any reason you bought this other than the "Spoon" label?

Only problem that I see is that it's made for the JDM market...the battery is on the "other" side...your cables will be too long, or too short.

well...you also have the cost to, but it has the looks

As far as being the wrong side it's no big deal.

There's only 4 wires.

VTEC Solenoid
Alternator
Negative Ground
Front Head Ground

The wire that is meant to go to the altenator goes to the VTEC solenoid, and the wire that goes to the VTEC solenoid goes to the altenator. The negative battery ground is where stock is and the front one is replaced easily.

The only problem is that the VTEC solenoid bolts are too small and the wire connectors fall right through them, so I have to get a washer No big deal.

I got the system from a friend who got it from a friend

Let's just say I got it cheaper than inlinefour.com's advertised price.

Looks good but I'm also afraid how much those cost too.
I picked up the Sun Automobile kit for a good price and the quality is top notch.

Honda-Tech does not use language filters because we believe in allowing our members to speak freely. Do so within reason however. Excessive use of profanity will be dealt with.

They can bling because they're spoon Never thought I would say that, heh.

Bling = showing of extreme opulence/wealth

How does a $100 set of wires do this?

I guess I just don't understand "bling".

So to "bling", you need to:

1) Be rich.

2) Let everyone know that you're rich.

Correct?

according to urbandictionary.com:

Jamaican slang that has been adopted by some African American rappers and inserted into popular culture. The term "Bling Bling" refers to the imaginary "sound" that is produced from light reflected by a diamond. See The Silvertones "Bling Bling Christmas" for the earliest known usage of the slang.

so, if we hold true to the deffinition, your honda cannot bling unless it reflects light off a diamond. mabey if you had some $15,000 davins w/ diamond inserts it could start to bling. but ground wires and JDM **** doesnt make you bling. i'll even settle for light reflecting off of chrome.
