Has anyone installed a Quaife into a ZC tranny?...
I am getting ready to rebuild my Tranny, and also install a 88 (40mm bearings) quaife as well.
I have a full 88 L3 rebuild kit, Rebuilt SI axles, and pretty much all parts needed (that I know of).
I'm just wondering if anyone has done this, and has any experience/wisdom to share with me?
Thanks
Bryson

Oh really? I didn't know you had one.
I basiclly just wanted to confirm that installing the Diff into my 88 ZC L3 will be exactly like installing it into an 88 Si L3.
I am droping the tranny on Monday to start my rebuild...

well all PL3/Sis are 40mm bearigns.....
basically all u gotta do when installin it its transfer the FD ring gear from the stock diff to the quafe....., instal new bearings (of course) and replace the old diff with the quafe
currently i got a DX/ Si Hybrid transmision... known also as the small bearing Si ,,,,,
im glad a few of u can afford the 895 dollar quafe....

Well this tranny will be utilized for my 400hp ZC so I definetly NEED the Quiafe.
Unfortunetly, it's the most expensive single part going into my car...
thanks guys!

I dropped one in an Si tranny. Pretty simple, just had to check the endplay with the case put together. Makes a hell of a difference in AutoX. Not pushing 400 hp or anything, just wanted the cornering. At $695 (got mine on sale) it's the most expensive single part of the swap, more than the ZC and tranny combined.
Oh, be careful with aftermarket syncros, and make sure you have a good set of shift forks.

Where did you get yours (if you don't mind me asking)?

Anyone know where I can find one under 800?

I ordered mine from quaife USA last November. They were on sale for $695, it was 767 on my doorstep tax/shipping included. IMHO it was worth every cent, now I can hammer it in the turns and not hear that inside tire light up.
