You really only need to bend the part with the red cap back a little bit and it will clear. I hope they aren't charging you for all the extra work. Next time take it to a place that has done one before.

That sucks. I thought the newer Integras (00-01?) had room for the HID ballast. Opposed to the older ones as far as the AC lines go.

The Hid ballast can be hidden under the frame of the car as well as under the headlight. At work when we rid up Stock HID setups on our cars we get creative with the Ballast.

2 things that might help... 1) move the wiper resivior back a little by undoing the bolt there, or melt the neck to fit the ballast... 2) bend the lines but be careful of the p/s pully... i had a big gouge on mine cuz i put it too close!
EDIT: o and i put the one w/ the blue cap right under the p/s resivoir

no way, get the JDM windshield washer reservoir, yo!
j/k... actually you should ask integobsession or his roommate pdcdragon... integobsession said that his AC line actually was rubbing the ballast, and it caused a small hole in the line and all of his freon leaked out
had to get it fixed at the dealer... so be careful with that.

ok.... well we did this for my roomates car... if you bend teh lines gently and try to make them go below and around instead of up and over then you will be more likely to have better luck.... and make sure that the ac lines are far enough away from the ps pulley so that when teh motor torques while driving that the lines won't get rubbed by the pulley.

I would say do that too....but assuming you live in sac town...that might be cruel and unusual punishment
I didnt know there were so many problems with putting in the JDM front. I always thought it was just bolt on and go

I actually think that sac town gets a little bit hotter than so cal. I wouldnt know in either case, im in SF so its a decent temp year round...maybe except for the fog.
1.) Bend A/C Line around lower section of ballast in an L shape, set it up so that the Inlet/Outlet for the line is right under the P/S Fluid Container, this way it is easy to do an A/C System Flush (Just lift the bottle out of bracket and connect the A/C Lines to the machine.)
2.) Mark the height and depth needed for the ballast on the neck of the water tank, remove tank, heat up a piece of angle iron and slowly melt/form a right angle in the tank to accomodate the ballast.

It does, you're right.
SoCal is relatively temperate.

Sacramento does get hot, but I've experienced some good heat before in Irvine. Now Barstow is a different story.

I have bent the AC line on my ITR by hand to fit the OEM 98 spec HIDS and it worked fine. I was very careful when I did it. I guess your shop was not. Honestly I don't think most mechanics get paid to do a good job anyway, so I don't expect anything from them but the bare minimum or worse.

This is hearsay, and I bet it is due to his faulty modification of the pipe in the first place.

Really? How do you get around the fact that the Japanese ITR 98 Spec ballast functions as a seal for the headlight housing? If you don't use it do you make your own seal and run the wires through? I frankly don't see why to do this. I think Hondas design is very substantial. There should be no reason to use anything else.
