Default aem short ram question

I installed a short ram intake on my car and it installed great but my question is regarding the piping. about 2 inches to the left of the hose that connects to the valve cover is a little nipple sort protrusion, that has a little black plastic cover, what the hell is that and is it of any use?? Thanks for any help

take the cover off the "nipple"....then connect the hose from your valve cover to that hole
