Burnouts on slicks.
Got a question for some of you guys...When guys are burning out with slicks, how do you guys keep the drivers side slick from stopping without using a LSD ? I can get them to break traction but every so often the left slick stop and doesn't get warmed up properly. I have tried turning the wheels left to right, but the slick still stops every now and then. Also, do and of you guys do your burnout in second gear ?
DO NOT SWITCH GEARS while doing a burnout...not good for your car
if you want...when driving through the water box...spin the tires for a VERY short period...so the water gets around the whole tire...that will ensure that both your tires spin

I think shifting into 2nd is fine...as long as you dont powershift...it shouldnt be any different then shifting while driving.
When domestics do "showoff" burnouts, they get the rubber boiling then maintain RPMs. They might have to slowly increase RPMs, it is all very controlled.
Umm..what else do you suggest? How else are you gonna spin your tires faster then say 30 MPH?

the only difference is that your car isn't moving
its just a generally accepted rule...but do what you want
just maintain rpms like he said...

Watch the Import drag races, they burnout for like 1 - 2 seconds. Not very long at all, I don't see them going into 2nd gear either. . . .
Thanks guys for the help..I guess without a LSD rocking left to right is the best option. I wonder if I put a lower PSI in the right wheel and higher PSI in the left wheel, if that will help me get the left slick spinning and rocking left to right.
