Yes, it's an overlay and it's goes on overtop. It goes on with high density tape. The was the S2k was made, this kit looks part of the car for the most part. It's not a cheap imitation kit. The lines are straight and edges are smooth and tapered. Sale is running right now for $165 for the FULL KIT!!!!

the most important thing about this or any kit is the installation and prepping process. without spending extra time to clean & prep the surface, and using the right tools, it will stay on and not look like *** - which some do. this one looks very clean.
