Just trying to get an idea if anybogy wants a used AEM. It was purchase late last year and the car was stored over the winter. It was also painted to match the factory 00 ITR wheels and has been cut to accomodate the AEM bypass valve. I think I'm going to try the Mugen airbox but I would like to offset some of the cost
Let me know how much its worth and if anyone is interested.
Thanks Mattj

dont' get the mugen. you aren't goign to see noticable gains. AEM has been proven for years. Supposively the filter placement isn't that great for flow.
If you are spending bucks why dont' you spend the little extra for the ARC. At least get the intake chamber.
That will be like 400 dollars. The air cleaner box is another 400.
It works, trust me. You aren't going to see the major gains but it really beefs up the torque at lower rpms. And when you are off throttle, like exiting corners.
Its about real horsepower, not just peak.

I not looking for any gains over the existing AEM I'm actually trying to reduce the intake noise without going back to stock. I have a buddy that owns a dyno so it will be tested, as well as it can. Do you have more info on the ARC, is there a link? Thank for the info

my advice is get a Comptech Icebox. Fit and Finish are very good, much better than AEM. Torque is better than on an AEM and has a nice deep sound, not loud and sportbike-y like the AEM. It should only lose about 1 or 2 hp compared to the AEM esp. if you get the drop-in foam filter from Comptech. I love my Icebox especially in wet weather. The airbox is like 150 bucks and the filter is around 65 from autocarparts.com. This may be all old news to you, but if not, look into it. The Icebox dyno's at about 10whp over stock, around 175 or so.
