Default front upper strut bars: skunk2 vs. neuspeed etc..

opinions, personal experience, performance on these strut bars,
1. skunk2 front upper
2. spoon front upper
3. neuspeed front upper
4. tanabe sustec
IMO, spoon is the best, but hard to come by, looking for more of a comparison between the neuspeed, skunk2, tanabe...I like how the skunk2 looks(closer to spoon) it looks like it would be stiffer, and I can get one cheap...as well as a neuspeed, but looks flimsy...but have heard it performs well, no info on the tanabe sustec.....let me know
pics of the bars:

Skunk2 doesn't make strut bars for the prelude.

I like my spoon

I like my Neuspeed bar just fine (cause I got it cheap off of a friend's wrecked ccar).

I have the neuspeed for the front & it is an excellent bar. Unlike the junky e-bay ones, dc-sports, etc.- It is all one solid piece & mounts to the two bolts for the upper control arm rather than the 3 bolts on the top of the shock tower. Also, putting on the neuspeed bar takes a little bit of "elbow" grease, because it is not flexible at all!

ok...skunk2 DOES make a front upper strut tower bar for the 5th gen, 97-01 prelude here is the link for thier web site http://www.skunk2.com/suspensi...p.htm so I guess nobody has any input on it?

Sorry, but so wrong dude. What that says in strut tower brace applications beside "Prelude:1997-2001" is TBA. <U>What that means is that they WILL have one, but don't right now.</U> Try finding one for sale anywhere dude, I Googled it and got absolutely nothing.

If they are still developing it and it is currently not available, then we can expect it around the same time that they release their Prelude IM, which has said "TBA" beside it now for what, 18 months?!?

You know, that's weird because I ordered one from Tornactive last week and they e-mailed me Monday and told me that it hadn't been released yet, which I balked at considering that I remembered some peeps who'd said they had one. Thanks dude, now I can bitch at them with confidence.

I just found out that DC has new bars out that are made of titanium.
dunno if it's gonna be for prelude, but i bet it will be since their old ones were.

check it out here: http://www.dcsports.com/titanium.html#

I'd still be weary of the DC-sports tie-bars...The design leaves something to be desired. They are designed to look good rather than be truly functional.

cool, doesn't look like they have one for the prelude yet...and I tend to agree with you about DC's design...looks more like a metal sculpture than a strut bar

Actually what's bizarre is that they only list a bar for the 5th gen prelude on their site, but it's actually the 4th gen Skunk2 Lower Tie that they actually have....the part number is different but it fits both gens fine....It mounts to the toe control arm not the LCAs...

Anyways mine is brand new $140 shipped
