Wow, sorry...

Prothane is harder then ES. Always has been

As for motor mounts tho...For examle ES mounts are soft crap. Prothane are hard plastic.

Not that I doubt you man, Just that prothane has always been known to be harder bushings.

how did your friend make this comparison?
Neither material is exactly pliable.
Prothane is harder, ES is softer. But before u choose you have to realize that if u go with prothane u are using a harder material which in turn will is unable to absord as much vibration as a softer material, HENCE you will feel such things more.
Give it some thought.. its pretty simple physics.

You sound like a person that had no clue what they are talking about.

I have the ES kit installed. Why would I install the Prothane kit? that means I need to remove all the bushings I just put in, Kinda moronic huh?

i actualy got the place racing poly mounts for my car. the engine and trans side mounts. i'm gonna get the es inserts for my front and rear mounts cause they take up more vibrations then the prothane. and for under 20$ its cheaper then gettin new stock mounts.

I seriously doubt you'll notice any difference between the two with shifter bushings.

Yeah, in terms of one being softer than the other, I think most of us were referring to differences between the suspension bushings. Something like that you would probably be able to tell the difference.

I'm sorry that I "appear" to not have a clue ... according to you.
Here is some food for thought ...

Doesn't appear too moronic to me ... if you'll notice in the pic, the only mount that is shared between the two kits is the rear one. If you want to eliminate wheel hop completely you would want to combine both kits .. that is what I plan to do. I have already purchased the ES bushings but have yet to install them cause I am waiting to buy my Prothane ones and do it all at once. Of course when you have both kits installed I am sure that you will experience a lot more vibrations in the cabin .. however I could care less about this myself.

If you'd like to read more about this, refer here:
http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=296

Now, who doesn't have a clue what they are talking about?

Modified by blubberbutt at 8:49 PM 6/12/2003</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks for all that info. I have a clue and know what I am talking about. I have the Es mounts, front lower 2, rear prothane, passenger side prothane, and drivers side race prothane. Along with the entire ES kit, and soon mugen rear mounts. I have researched them for along time

However.. the topic is "ES bushing or prothane bushing better?"
He never mentioned motor mounts, and everyone else was talking about bushings too, not mounts. Maybe you should read the topics more often.

Ahhh ... sorry for sounding like a 'tard
I must not have read the topic thoroughly nor did I realize that Prothane made shifter bushings therefore I jumped the gun and automatically was thinking about motor mount inserts. And I did word things wrong when I said that both pairs of inserts would TOTALLY eliminate wheel hop .. I know better than that. Anyway that is beside the point.

Sorry for being stupid

i can comment becuase i run both. the Prothane is 100x harder. its almost sickening when you hold the same mount in each brand in hand and feel the diff.
i run prothanes up top and ES on the bottoms and shifter bushings. my car is like a rock . i love it .
