well basicaly the car came with a 6 cd + cassette in dash head unit. i wanna match it as close as possible. i think i got her talked into a xm radio system. that would help out alot. that way just get a unit that does mp3 cd's and xm and she wont complain.....much.

The eclipse setup would be over 700 bucks. you'll need the 6 disc din sized unit along with an eclipse cd receiver that could control it. They had a din sized am/fm 6 disc tuner, but it's a tuner and with no internal amp. Nak builds the 6 disc mechanism for eclipse or vice versa. they're as reliable as the oem ones. Alpine dropped their 3D shuttles two years ago. there was a lot of time between the disc shuffling.

Between MP3 and XM I'm sure your sister would not miss that changer. Look at the Alpine CDA9807. wma/mp3, cool silver finish and blue lights, xm and changer controls, front rear and sub outputs. Or step up to the 9811. (for when you talk her into getting a JL250/1 and the Xterra stealthbox).

i was looking at the pioneer unit. a stealth box would be bad ***. hmmm.

yeah nak builds the shuttle system for eclipse. i have the music bank changer in my teg. i found the pioneer deh-p7500mp with xm tuner and glass mount antenna for 530 delivered. will see if she goes with that. thanks for the ideas. will research some alpine stuff next
