Default difference in y7 and y8

what are the difference in the engine besides the vtec head, is the block the same?

i drive a DX and im looking to buy exhaust from optionsauto.com. they have seperate exhaust for DX and EX. im gettign confused on what parts to buy cuz sites seperate the DX and EX parts. can someone explain?

the Y7 has a completely different exhaust manifold than the Y8. the catalytic converter is in front of the engine, near the radiator instead of underneath the car. if you want an exhaust for a Y8, you'll have to buy the Y8 exhaust manifold and cat.
