Default H22A intake manifold

Who makes an intake manifold for H22A? I have a 5th gen Prelude 5spd. I'm waiting for the Skunk2 but heard it not available yet. Any word on it?

N/A for now, but why? I wanna p/u a new throttle body like some thats recommended from peepz on my other thread and then I want a intake manifold to compliment it. I can bore it out some myself to matchport w/the throttle body.

well, if you were turbo charging, i'd suggest a Golden Eagle Intake manifold, but since you are staying N/A, i'd say go with a stock one ported out, or wait for the Skunk2

Just remember, the power curve under boost or N/A reacts nearly the same with an Intake Manifold change. A ported and polished factory intake manifold will make more power than most aftermarket IM's in the powerband our cars run. Now if you're looking to run it out to 8000+ it's not a bad idea to switch to an aftermarket (STR, etc, etc) as they shift the power band to the higher rpms. Again, just remember the power band is affected nearly the same N/A or FI

I don't believe that u have to rev past 8000 to make more power w/an aftermarket I/M. I know for sure ('cause I've seen it plenty of times on B16 motors) that when u do put on like the STR (welded box type) I/M, u need a lot more than N/A flow to get any benefit. Actually, I noticed that a Skunk2 I/M makes more power on like the B16 than the STR did N/A. I'm not looking to install a box type I/M, I'd be happy w/a nicely ported stock manifold. But instead of sending mine out to a machine shop (that may or may not do a good job), I'd rather just buy one from like Skunk2 or someone. That brings me back to the question, "Who makes intake manifolds for H22A?"

that's b/c sheetmetal style IM like the golden eagle, or the str, or the inlinepro, or the venom etc, is made for turbo performance, not for N/A

the SCCA champion Del Sol in conjunction with Land Speed Racing have a really good book out that dyno's alot of parts to give you an idea of the affects of each... and on the Del Sol they tried the factory b16 IM with a mild P&P, a type R, STR, jun... and the stock B16 did better than any up until about 7700, and that's where the STR and JUN crossed the stock's HP and started to really perform... only problem is the car redlines a few rpm's past that which means you're not using the STR or JUN's powerband. Granted this is the B16 but the IM's for the H22 are most likely designed to flow the same way... since the runners are shorter and has a larger plen(ok i always forget this damn word lol). Anyhow, I'm interested myself in what the Skunk2 does as it seems to be more inline with the factory design which should prove to give you the power in the stock rpm range.

Dude, I was doing that once a week like LAST SUMMER. Some chick would tell me that it was in R&D and would be available soon. When they got tired of me, their solution was to start ignoring/stop answering my e-mails.

The newer venom one is more rounded compared to the old box type. Any one seen it yet? Kepp in mind also I think you have to add the idle air controls to most of these box types. They do not have provesions for the idle air control. However newer ones may. I just know the gen 1 venom did not.
