Well, just recently I had my clutch replaced. Before I took it in for service, I never had a problem starting the car. Now I have this problem every now and then. Any Idea what it could be? Asked a service advisor over the phone, and said it could be the safety switch that has something to do with the clutch? Never took it in....which was about 1500 miles ago, and 500 mi after I noticed the problem. BTW.....there's also a clicking sound when i shift from 1-2 sometimes, and 3-4. Is that a bent clutch rod?

Is the car trying to start (turning over)? Or not trying at all? When does the clicking occur? When your on it or just cruising?

 

Its not trying to start at all. It simply isnt turning over....basically I think it doesnt acknowledge that the clutch is there in my opinion. The clicking is when i shift from 1-2 or 3-4.....but you can only feel it in the shifter not in the clutch itself.

I have the same problem. IF it doesn't start...let the clutch out JUST A BIT and push it back down and it'll start right away.
