Is a DX ECU in a Civic EX Safe? Temporarily...
I have no a/c due my ECU having gone bad. A/C works fine with my spare working DX ecu.
I am needing to know if it would be safe to drive my Civic EX with a working DX ECU temporarily until my EX(p28) ecu arrives?

Really? Thank you so much for the quick reply, and for saving me any addition perspiration!!! I will be swapping the ECUs this afternoon.
One more question, obviously I am putting the wrong ecu in the car, but do you happen to know what code it is throwing when the DX ECU is installed in the EX?

It depends on the code. If it is a vtec code, then there would be no check engine light. But if it is something else that both ecu uses, then the code would still show up on the DX computer. Such as map, tps, ect, iacv, etc... Unless the DX computer is faulty.
