Just as the topic says, I've heard of a few different makes people use. I just want to know what the standard is.
Thanks!
Thanks!
stock has worked best in my experience, at least with plug wires. i tried MSD, and they sucked. fitment was poor, and if the wires weren't hopping up out of the cylinders, they were sliding off the dist. cap.

I believe in the NGK plugs myself, and for wires, I have always liked the MSD ones. I ahd them on my H22 and they cleaned up the idle. Mind you it didn't make it perfect or anything but it was an improvement.
dyno proven on my buddies 00 SI....ran NGK on dyno, replaced with stock for the hell of it, and it showed a 2-3hp increase. not much but proof. Cant beat OE fitment

to Accel. A buddy of mine tried them on his gsr and he said they suck. If you are doing little mods such as I/H/E, cams/cam gears, IM, I recommend stock plugs and wires or ngk plugs and wires. Now if you plan on boosting or juicing then you go up on plugs and wires. Get msd and jacobs ignition out of your head because it won't do anything noticeable for you. I run ngk plugs and wires, stock cap, rotor, and distributor. That is all you need.

even if they come pre-gapped, what should I the gap be?
Remember I have a B16a 1st gen. It says 91 on the block.
And where do you people get JDM parts from? I'm from Hamilton (GTA), anyone recommend anywhere there or online to shop?
Thanks!
