Default Tanabe Hyper Medallion vs. Apexi WS

Sorry to keep drilling this exhuast thing. I searched to find some info on the Tanabe, but I can't find any info I want. I'm just wondering how you guys would compare the two exhausts. I heard this Tanabe was pretty quiet. Is it louder than the WS though? How much bigger is the tip? Better performance? Any insights would be good, I'll be getting exhaust in less than a week.

The Hyper Medalion has a 4" tip as does the WS I believe, the look of the WS is different. I stlll like my Tanabe even after 2+ years of having it. The Hyper has a very low note and I have heard the WS (it's not quite as deep).

I believe that the WS has a 3" exhaust tip, so you won't have the total "coffee can" appearance.

Guess I better do my research next time. Sorry for the misinformation.

So the Tanabe has a bigger Tip, but both look pretty stock, am I right? Anyone know which has better performance? And is the tanabe louder than the WS? If so how much louder?

Wrong...the WS has a 4" tip.

The WS is has a deeper note than stock which is noticeable at idle.

Looks-wise, I'd go for the WS. I just don't like the "long" look of the Hyper Medallion.

Sound-wise, I'd probably go for the Hyper Medallion if it's a little louder. The WS is too quiet for me...still satisfied though.

i have the tanabe hyper medalion... and its great. its super quiet, but when i get on it it has a nice deep tone. the only draw back is it's long tip. but i would totally do the hyper medalion, i heard that there are fitment problems with the apex exhaust.

For the record, no fitment problems with my exhaust. Fits perfectly. I've heard of people with short shifters having problems with the exhaust too. Nada.

I think the people having fitment problems were relating to the exhaust heat shields. You can simply bend them away. I think I already bent mine away while installing my short shifter a while ago.
