Default Sway Barz 'n Stuff ...

Hi All,

I've got a '92 Civic Si Hatch and wanted to put in a rear sway bar (thinking of Mugen 26mm ones). Will it fit? Do I have to replace out the lower control arms? Will GSR or ITR ones fit?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

the si hatches have a sway bar.. you can try the itr bar with the beaks kit or the suspension techinque bar... mugen just costs more than I can afford, but if you can, than more power to you... so your lcas should have the hole... just look under your car!

I'll let the local trees and curbs know that you're planning on putting a 26mm rear swaybar on your car.

I believe he is referring to the rear sway bar.

EX/Si does NOT come with a Rear sway. They only come with a front sway bar.

My car handles great with the 26mm rear bar. theres a very slight oversteer but nothing bad or uncontrolable. I have a h22 though but im sure its not that bad with a d or b series
btw you need gsr/itr rear lca for it

I'd reccomend a 22mm...plus with the Mugen bar you better have good subframe reinforment or you can bet that it will tear..

Were you reffering to me or him? Will the ITR sway bolt directly up?

Thanks for all your advice guys, keep 'em coming! Looks like a smaller sway bar may be in order. Any thoughts on Skunk2 vs. ITRs?

ITR rear swaybar will bolt up to the EG. You'll need ITR LCA or GSR LCA, and get the swaybar mounting brackets from a 94+ GSR. I forgot where I got the bushings.

Any Integra LCA will work. Nothing magical about GSR LCAs. ITR LCAs need totally different shocks...

I have the Skunk2, and I LOVE it...single best suspension mod that I did. I have had it for 2 years now.

good luck getting one tho. Group A broke their cold forging machine, and they dont plan to buy a new one....something about $800,000 being too expensive. You can maybe find one new, but I would just go with the Beaks Quick Swap Kit if it were up to me.

I'd get the Comptech 22mm rear swaybar/tiebar combo.

As SkyeC said, any 1994-2001 LS/GS/RS/GS-R rear LCAs will work.

I'd do that or Beaks. http://www.beaksproducts.com
