its not gonna go 125 thats just where they decided to stop the numbers. THere is nothing to unplug to make it go faster but you might want to check out your car to see if it needs a tune up or something. I thought all 4th gen civics went at least 100.

my car does have 17 inch rims on it and the additional weight of two 12 inch sub boxes in the trunk would that hurt the car 5mph, another question if i put a full exhaust system headers and a hi flo cat and skunk2 catback help make the car top out at a higher speed than 100mph

my d15b2 stock with just the restrictor plate taken out, and and generic intake has seen 118mph, and that with me carrying my impact wrench, tools, drill, and floor jack in the trunk. I also have a apex'i rev/speed meter too, so if it does have a speed limiter, the rsm is taking it away.

Weight won't effect your top speed that much if at all, it WILL affect how fast you'll get to your top speed. Aerodynamics, gearing, horsepower...etc are what play the biggest role.

For your D15, you'll want to take that **** out because even without that extra weight it takes a long time to reach 100mph. For the record, I got my old D15 motor up to 108 (that's what the speedo said at least ). Now, with my B16, my top speed is 105mph, but that's because I'm redlining 5th gear at that speed with my S1 tranny!!

Generally, speed limiters (governers) are used for cars that are capable of high speeds. Stock 4th Gen DX's do not qualify under that criteria

Uh, I don't know why but, I do find this funny. Yeah all that weight in the back will slow you down. So will those 17's. They're too damn big. Not to flame, but I do feel sorry for you. My 91 dx was could do 110ish when it was running. Some dipshit decided to do a right hand turn from 2 lanes over directly in front of me and killed my poor dx.
