How do I get rid of the CEL?
My CEL came on a few days ago and when I checked my gas cap it was very loose. I assume that it came on because of this but I need to know how to get it to go out. Thanks.
There is a small button about halfway between your steering wheel and the pedals which will reset your CEL. feel around with your right hand and you should find it. If you brought your legs straight up while driving and hit the bottom of your dash, it would be like where your shins are I think. Hope this helps.
Ah **** thats the one I was talking about. DOH! I didn't read your post carefully enough, it was too damn long!

Pull the correct fuse for a few seconds. On my other Honda, it's the clock fuse. I'm not sure which fuse it is on the ITR, but you might try the clock fuse. (You will need to reset the clock and radio station buttons afterwards.)
If you have the service manual, the procedure for pulling the code, diagnosing, and resetting is in the "Fuel" section, I think.

The correct way to reset your CEL is to either remove the negative battery terminal for a few seconds or remove the 'backup' fuse in the underhood fusebox.
