brembo oe rotors: Italy or Mexico?
I just bought brembo oe rotors and the rear ones actually say brembo right on them. They also say made in italy on the box. The front ones say mexico on them, and the box says made in mexico. Does anyone know if there is a difference in quality between the two? Thanks in advance.
I don't know the answer to your question but do the Mexican ones actually have "Brembo" cast into them? If not, they probably aren't "Brembo" OE rotors. There are foundries all over the world that make both true OE and replacement castings for various manufacturers and I would completely expect quality to vary among them. Not to say that the Mexican ones are necessarily bad, whatever they are...

no, the ones that are made in mexico do not say brembo on the rotor itself. I spoke with someone from brembo and they said that they have places all over the world that make their rotors with the same machines and metalurgy, and they assured me the quality is the same. Whether this is true or not, I don't know.
