DX won't start....
Sup everyone,
First, (yes I did a search, I'm just trying to see if anyone has any input) I'm swapping a ZC into a DX hatch. ZC was in a rex, working fine. Dropped the engine in (left the wiring connected to the engine, didn't unplug anything). Engine's in but plugs don't match on driver side. So I get the main harness (to ECU and fuse box) from the rex, connect everything and try to crank the engine and it's cranking but doesn't fire. FYI: it has an MSD distributor and coil. It's got fuel, battery's charged, everything is gravy (or seems that way)....just no spark at all.
So I swap out the rest of the wiring, gauge cluster and one that leads to the back of the car, still nothing. Swapped out both fuse boxes and nothing, no spark, no firing up. Also swapped out some relays, the two near the hood open latch and tried the sensor on the passenger side. It's throwing a code 20, but I believe it was throwing that code when it was in the rex.
I got a test light and the coil has power going to it as well as the under hood fuse box. All grounds are connected (thermostat housing, battery to frame to clutch, ground to valve cover, plus grounds inside the car [one near dash fuse box, one connected to steering column, and one in the back]). I believe that's all the details, can someone help me here? Bad coil maybe? Distributor? Something seriously stupid that I'm overlooking? I want this car outta here already!!!!!!!! Damn this car!!!!!!!
TIA

Even though nobody answered me. Solution found.......a wire came disconnected from the distributor. It was taped up so I didn't notice.....so yeah, it was something stupid.
