dx tranny....... i say high 15's. Ive seen si tranny'd zc's run anywhere from high 14's to high 15's, depending on the condition of the motor, and the driver. You should see 15's.

My best is 15.537@87mph. I was running 15.6's consistently. It was about 65 deg. and at sea level. My 60' was a little high at 2.42. I know I can get my time down to 15.4 pretty easily. I have an 89 crx si with zc and dx tranny, 89 teg ecu, i/h/e, and pulley. I've got an si tranny I'll be swapping in soon and I hope to hit low, low 15's or possibly high 14's.

I have a question is the ZC tranny better for drag than the Si one? Because ZC has lower gears but a lot of people say Si with ZC final drive is the best tranny, but is that best for daily driving or drag racing?

I still dont get how people are getting low 15's and 14's with ZC's with I/H/E. I mean B16's with I/E/H run high 14's normaly!?

I ran a sad 15.4 with a Turbo ZC with no 4th gear. I only managed a 16.4 when it was NA. This was also untuned. Im sure when I get my 4th gear fixed and get it on a dyno with a little more practice a mid 14 sec pass is possible

Hey FourthGenHatch, The zc/si Hybrid tranny is the best set-up for drag but I run it on the street all the time. as long as you are not an insane speeder on the streets the rpm of the motor really isn't that high. If you were going to do 90mph all day long the revs would probably drive you batty. I run about 75 everywhere I go and The rpm doesn't seem that high.

the reason for the better time can be from many different things lighter crx becouse they have no ac or any extras also there block and head could be better built i sent my b16a1 off with 20,000 dollars the whole engine was built for forced boost i have over 50% forced boost from t3/t4 turbo and 2 50shot nos im not braging just showing you how it is possible to get high 10s or low 11s for indepth ?s emil me at http://www.xtnjbx@yahoo.com

i would say low 15's, very high 14's are easily possible. i haven't been to teh track yet, but my hatch seems like it's easily a low 15 & it's not really running at it's fullest yet. i have intake, header, hiflo cat, exhaust, and an aem alternator pulley. cam's & safc are next, and then probally a 50 shot & I should be running 1/2 way decent times. I can keep up very closely w/ an 02 rsx type s w/ i/e & a decent driver. street racing's but we all have our moments i think.

Well along with what SIRX said its funny you say that when you have a post that says "What is obdo and obd1??" and here is your post in that thread

im new to the import world im learnig as i go i have learned alot from this site, i kinda feel stupid but i would feel even stupider if i did not know later down the path. what exactly is the OBDO and the OBD1 and what do they do thanks for the help
Kind of funny that you have no clue what obdo or obd1 is but yet you have 20 grand to dump on a motor that you know nothing about???

my first CRX (91 Si) SOHC ZC, homemade intake, brand X headers, 2inch straight through exhaust, lowering springs ran a 14.9 It was a carbed SOHC ZC that i changed over to EFI. The carbed ZC's cam is more aggressive,,,, more torque that was with a Si trans.
