CTR Piston Install
I'm looking into some CTR pistons to bump the compression up for my engine, so It'll be ready for my cams.
I got a set of CTR std size pistons. I just need to install them. I think I basically have the idea down, but a few things elude me.
Do I have to re-hone the cylinder walls?
Also what about bearing clearances and such? Should I plastiguage them? or would they already be fine and just need to be torqued back down to spec?
I think that's about it. I'm trying to do this with as little downtime as possible. I cant afford for my car to be sitting there. lol

Yes you need to re-hone (or at least de-glaze with a new cross-hatch) the cylinder walls for new pistons and rings. This helps them seat. How many miles on the motor? You may want all new bearings while its apart and yes you should plastiguage either way to make sure your clearances are fine.... especially if you re-use bearings (which I wouldn't do unless it was really low milage since a rebuild).
