LAPS Solo 1 will be holding our 2nd event this Sunday at Autodrome St-Eustache (suburb of Montreal). The cost is 100$CAD for non-members (70$US) which includes 2 x 17-minute lapping sessions in the morning and 3 timed runs of 4 laps each in the afternoon. The best 4-lap run counts as your official time for the event. There are no cones, we run the same configuration as the wheel-to-wheel guys.

Also, there is a double event at 2 tracks in the same complex (Sanair) on June 28-29. The price is the same per day and one can camp at the site.

I wish I could make it. I went to your event a few years ago at Blainville where many people killed their brakes, but it was one of the most memorable events I'd been to. Based on that experience I'd have to say LAPS does a great job organizing their events.

 

Although Blainville wasn't a real racetrack, the layout we made had a straight almost 1 km long before a hairpin. It was indeed a brake killer and involved the highest top speeds in our club's history (like 145 mph for some). As for organization, we try our best. The limited number of competitors makes it a bit easier on us.

Seriously, all you northeasterners should really consider LAPS events for some extra seat time. Montreal is <6 hours from NYC, <5 hours from Boston etc... Relatively cheap too... Plus this weekend is the GrandPrix so the town will be really rocking...
