Default How to install a 7" LCD screen into 00 civic???

How do I install a 7" LCD Screen into my civic. I know where I want to mount it, Right above the glove box. I want to hook up playstation 2 to it and watch dvd's. Do I also have to hook it up to the receiver for sound?? Please help.

Also I installed apexi Gt headers on my car and they are really loud at idle(not the nice deep tone, but a raspy noise.) Any ideas??
Thanks

Sounds like you have an exhaust leak. Changing the header alone should not add any sort of tone change at idle.

Did you replace the exhaust manifold gasket at the junction of the header and the head itself? what about the donut gasket between the header and cat?

Did you inspect the flanges on the header to see if it might be cracked?

I noticed a different sound on my car after changing the header and cat, but only at full throttle in the 5200-8500rpm range.

As far as the T.V screen goes, try posting about it in the Sound/Security forum.

I realize that some people like T.Vs, big stereos, etc. in their cars and that's cool bro. If that's what you like, don't let any following replies that might flame you get to you.

well, you will have to do some custom mounting if thats where you want to put it... you are also going to be blocking the passenger air bag so you will want to remove that so they dont get a tv in the face if you crash. You can hook to your reciever only if it has inputs for other components like that. (maybe there is a different way, but thats the only way i can think of.....

for the header...definately a leak somewhere (mine is the same way with my stock JDM b16 header trying to bolt to the stock exhaust....doesnt all quite fit)...but im living with it till i can afford to buy an exhaust after i sell my y8.

For that deep sound you're wanting, you can't get it with just a HEADER. Wrong forum for the TV.

But here is a wiring sequence I figured for my 10" LCD....

The wires are labeledwith letters and they connect in this order... S-T-U-N-N-A

Or it might be that he doesn't want to focus on speed, and would rather have a car with creature comforts instead.

I will follow this topic and rebutt any flamers, sounds fair?

I have a nice stereo setup, including a 10" sub, and am very proud of the way everything sounds. I also love performance, but can't drive without music.

Mount it anyway you want. The TV Audio output goes somehow into the reciever's Audio input. Or you can get a RF adapter. The Playstation's A/V output both go to the TV. The TV should require power, ground, and remote like most devices.

About the flamers... I hate it. I know there are different type of people who like to fix their cars up their way. Personally I'd like a STOCK Civic Type R with a sound system (small one) and a fold out TV. But being in California I have to make it myself. I love performance as much as the rest, but i'd love to drive my friends.
