Okay, I havent had any problems with my car not starting before. The problem started after normal driving.

Turned on the car, started exactly like normal for about 3 seconds, then just shut off and died.

Check engine light just stays on when you turn the car to the "on" position.
Fuel pump does NOT prime.

Tested different ECU to make sure the ecu didnt die on me.

The thing that I wonder is, could this be my main relay because the check engine light doesnt go out and my fuel pump does not prime

Its just really strange because I waited about 5 hours, went back to the car and the symptoms were exactly the same, which doesnt sound too typical of a bad main relay... plus its 5am right now and its really cold out, so I dont think its the head killing the main relay right now.

 

is the ecu throwing any codes?

 

I am having the same problem. my CEL stays on every time but I have a bad ECT sensor so I think that is causing it. I read the HELMS book it says if one off those 3 sensors are not working the CEL my Be On.

 

Check all the fuses, for example, alternator soelinoid valve, hazard, and ecu. Theres probably more fuses that will make your car not start. But those three, I know for sure.

 

it ended up being the alt solinoid valve fuze

what does the alternator solenoid valve do?? i had that one blowing quite a bit once.
