My tire is loosing air day by day.. so i guess something is stuck into the tires..

do you guys fix these by yourself??

any comment on how to do it??

i know i can just get it fixed for like 5 bucks.. but i hate people fixing my car.. coz they don't know wshit

you gotta find the hole, buy the tire puncture thing, which looks like a t handle, which is knurled and has a slot like a needle for the little sticky rubber that you stick back into the hole to seal the air. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i can't explain worth ****. just take it to the tire place, more trouble than it's worth(well not really, get a kit from wal mart or something), good luck

i think it would just be easier to get it done for five dollars,..5 dollars is cheaper then the tire patch kit

 

if you hate people fixing your car cuz they don't know ****. then i guess you don't know **** either. you don't even have an understanding of basic tire maintenance and repair. how you gonna call other professionals or people unknowledgeable, i.e. "don't know wshit".

 

Damn dude take it easy on the guy. How much tread is left on your tire? Do you think you will ever need to mount that tire on a different wheel? The reason I ask is this, you can go to any 7-11 or Quick stop and buy a can of Fix-A-Flat. That can will inflate and seal the hole from inside, the kicker is that once you unmount that tire from that wheel, it's garbage time and no salvaging it. The directions on the can says it's temporary and you should not ride around for more than a month with it but I rode on my Fix-A-Flat tire for over 6 months with no problem.

BTW: Fix-A-Flat or any similar brand of tire patching adhesive runs about $3-$6 a can.

 

i went to my local hispanic tire shop and they took off the tires, cleaned up the hole and patched it from the inside.. reinstalled and balanced all for $8bux. much better than doing it myself.

 

Well if you have the hook up like mugen76, I would go that route.

that is the most desirable way....honestly the little "screwdriver hook with rubber insert into the hole" and Fix-a-flats will work, but its not very reliable. I know some people are going to say that it has worked fine for them, but ya know....I would rather drive around on tires that a professional shop repaired instead of cheesey quick fixes. eh..my 2 pennies.

Tell you what, go to a shop and tell them, YO LET ME USE YOUR EQUIPMENT TO FIX MY TIRE CAUSE YOU don't know wshit.

 

I know where he is coming from with having people work on your car. I just got new tires put on and i watched the person bring it into the bay. First as he takes off he feathers my clutch but not too bad, but then while trying to get it on the lift he feathers the **** out if it and then stalls.

 

i am just going to take off my wheel and then BRING it to canadiantire and ask them fix it..

instead of letting them drive my car and jack it up and so on..

sounds like a good idea??

 

don't drive a manual, then... just kidding.. that's messed up, they should have safe drivers working there if they're gonna move your car. he probably didn't even have a license
