Default widebody drawings/work in progress any comments??????

these are drawings of a widebody kit for my 91 hatch, i'm making them out of sheetmetal so they will be functional and not for show when it is finished. i am in the process of welding them now any comments are welcome.

looks like a lot of work.. and even if it is sheet metal and "functional" not many people are gonna appreciate it..

with that in mind.. make it how you like it. because its your car.

and don't use diamond plate

good project

yes the car was bad looking , and needed work, and i didnt have the money to do the work, so i sold it to someone that could. I was just showing you what a wide body would look like, i didnt ask or need your comments and remarks.

Holy uncalled for comment.

Don't come in here and ask for comments then flame someone when they have something that might be useful to your post and what your trying to do.

I'll give you a comment. I think your car is going to look like ***. You are not doing anything functional. Your adding weight and ruining a hatch. Congrats

Oh and by the way this isn't appearance, this is a tech forum. So with that in mind why not post this crap over there so those guys can jump all over what your trying to do.

wow! you have one of those rear wheel drive hondas that need wider tires in the back! , if anything, get wider in the front, and i dont thing road racing requires a nasty aftermarket front bumper , slizzamed, and big wheels too.

Wow where to start.

First off let me point out that yes I do indeed know something about cars. Also let me say that I will not sink to your juvenile level by trying to attack you as you have blatantly attacked me.

If you would have responded to his post in a mature manner then I would not have said a thing. And you saying "thanks" means nothing when you come here and act like an idiot.

And finally let me ask how the two of us can be such a little bitch? Wouldn't we be bitches, plural? Or is that some of your e-thug slang?

Having said that, this is the last I will post in this useless waste of bandwidth.

Oddly enough I saw a 91 hatch the other day with a very nicely done widebody similar to the drawings (not to close to the actual pics here tho). Even though it was nicely done, still looked like hell and was all fiberglass. I was wondering who made the kit since it looked rather professional, but I guess it was all custom.

i have a remark about the rear diffuser

if you leave the exhaust exiting on the left side, the backbox will still be in the place where the diffuser should go. at present (according to your drawings anyway) the portion of floor that will be upswept will be too small to have any effect.
you need to move the exhaust to the right side to free up the whole area from the fuel tank backwards.

lets see the last time I looked this was Honda-Tech and not clubsi. If you want praise for ruining a hatch goto clubsi. If you want real world opinions expect some flaming. First of all you are adding weight. It does not matter how much you cut out of the fenders the stock fenders are lite and your new fenders will weigh alot more. Second isn't it amazing how many people auto-x and don't need to go with a wide body set-up . Wide body's are for ricer wannabes that think they need it to go fast when really they dont. Anyway, do not come here and start **** when people give you their comments because you will not last long here. Have a nice day

BTW you brought up the comment about TFTF. To me that front bumper is all about the rice. Looks bad in my opinion
