I cant get the washer off of my shock

What it says. I cant get the washer off of the piston of the shock (i forgot is that welded to the shock?), its like seized on there after thousand of miles of driving. I need the bump stop below the washer.

grab a hammer and gently tap it in a circular motion?

yea. . .miune came off after 90k miles with no prob do what he said and tap a tap tap.

do i need to trim the inside of the bumpstop cause i cant fit it through the top perch of the koni shock
