Default New to bikes... What kind should I get?

I'm getting a bike for school this fall. Hopefully within a couple of weeks. I've been looking locally and on the internet for one. I was wondering what the best bike is for a beginner. I want a nicer one, and plan on around $4500. I'm an experienced dirt bike rider and am signed up in the STAR course here in Boise. I basically want to know as far as weight, handling, comfort, and so on. Please give me some good input! Thanks!

and search before you post. And if you end up deciding on going with a 600cc then i would reccomend a CBR F4

Go with the Yamaha R6, better all around bike than the CBR F4i
