sorry but if your asking what you need then your not ready to build a motor. you should really wait and do research and really understand what your doing. no offense or anything. and i got mad when people told me this when i was a newb but it is soo true. good luck. and get ready to dump more than your cars wurth into that motor if you wanna run 13's n/a with t hat d16

88-89 teg pistons, and tons of headwork

 

basically you want some crazy compression, mate that with a good flowing exhaust that will keep velocity, alot of head work, pulley work, crank work, everything.

 

Exospeed guy runs 13s with his.

 

We build 13 sec d16's all the time. Its so formula now...
its not pocket change to build any motor. but with just headwork and cams, you can get a d16 into the 13's
