Default oil change gone bad

91 DA B18c5 turbocharged/hondata

I just moved to a new city and had to have my oil changed, normaly I do it myself
but all my tools are packed.
For some reason I didn't check the level until the next morning, and I find the level to be about 1/4" above the top dot .
so I start the car and now I am getting a code 20 & 21

my question is can to much oil cause the vtec spool solenoid valve to go bad (code 21)
and what is electrical load detector(code 20)

one thing you could try is to unscrew the oil filter (with the engine warm and the car jacked up - obviously). Let some oil drain out, then screw it back in. I know whenever I take my filter out, a bunch of the crap always leaks out all over the place... This would be better than trying to loosen the drain bolt. It' probably no more than 1/2 a quart over, so don't drain too much.
Good luck

oh yeah, don't forget to reset the ecu...

I'd head back to the place that changed the oil and go crazy right after resolving the problem.

dude...1/4 inch over the dot.....oh no!!!! no it's not that big of a deal! when road racing i usually over fill my oil so that i'm sure not to starve the engine in the turn.....i think the codes are coincident!

1/4" overfull is o.k. Clear the codes and see what happens. Start troubleshooting if the code(s) return.

Don't worry about the codes too much at this point as others have mentioned....

I lived in Edmonton for 29 years and just recently moved to Ottawa.
I've had my DA for 9 years b18a, b17a, b17a turbo, b18c5, b18c5 turbo...

Why do you say not to worry about the codes?
