Default Turbo Bike Manifold

Hey guys, a friend of mine is looking for a turbo manifold for a 929 RR. Can anyone help or suggest a place to find one? Thanks for all your help.

Well, it is not going to be the easyest thing to find Cause not to many people build. i would talk to a shop that does a lot of custom (bike or car, it does not matter). I saw a website that made them but i do not remember the name of it.

Jon just asked me to look and ask on here. Custom made seems to be the consensus. Still looking though if anyone knows! Thanks!

My first thought would be to try calling a company out of Chicago. The company name is Hahn Racecraft. Ask them about it. they will either have one, or know someone who can make/ sell you one.

They have done some bikes and are a very reputable company. I believe they held a speed record on a bike for a while, they may even still hold it. I don't know. But wouldn't hurt to give them a try.

Good luck.

It would be cheaper and easier to just buy a faster bike (Busa, 12R)

There's a turbo R1 around here, and a turbo 1000. Both bikes are in the 190rwhp range, and as if they weren't wheelie monsters before... they are almost unridable now.

They're hoping for 210rwhp out of that 1000 when all is said and done. While 210hp on a bike as light as a GSXR1000 sounds cool, not being able to keep the front end down in 4th gear would get old. Unless you extended the swingarm, which IMO, is the exact opposite of what those bikes are made for. You kill all handling, and make a bike thats already on the edge, just that much more hard to handle. Same goes for the R1 and 929/954.

HP like that is better suited for bigger bikes that were built for that kinda thing in the first place.

Perhaps he is running a low boost setup for longevity.

The R1s and 1000s are already pretty high strung from the factory. Going into the motor would just be THAT much more expensive to make less power for less money than going out and buying a bike that's already suited for that kinda power.

Liter bikes aren't really meant to go straight really fast. While they're certainly quick, they're light as all hell and even at 130-140whp they're wheelie monsters. Much more suited for handling than making power. Adding that much more power would make it worse.

i agree with what you said.......but when you go turbo on a bike you already took away handling ........putting a turbo on a bike is made for the straightline....so go ahead and thorw the extended swingarm on....but i also see your point......guess it all depends on how you look at it

No, that was the approx elevation where the car ran a 12.0 quarter. At sea level, it is a low 11 second car on street tires.

I was thinking distance, not elevation, lol.
