Default jdm climate control function..

does the "AUTO" setting on the jdm climate control actually work in usdm civics? is there actually a sensor to detect the cabin temperature?

cause im sick and tired of my tiny civic heating up so fast then having to dump the heat and let the thing cool back down within 30 seconds, then i find myself turning the heat back on....

no it doesnt not work.. the climate control will not work in a usdm civic, all you can do is switch the face plates so its looks like the jdm one and lights up amber..

Yes, but it is hard. I have heard that you can hook up the sensor and put the
sensor motor to the heater lever under the dash some how it would work. Too
much trouble in my opinion.

Unless you know some that has a complete JDM EG shell that they are going to junk and a japanese only manual, thats the only way. You need all the harness, the sensors and a few others which, in fact, to much hassle.

I already look into it a few years back, but gave up due to I hate collecting little by little pieces.

Actually...it wouldnt be TOO difficult. You can use one of those digital thermometers with the "alarm" setting on them. You could wire it to were the "alarm" output on the thermometer would trigger a relay that was wired as a "circuit interupt" on the fan motor wire.

Could be down in an hour or so with the right thermometer.

I know there was a posting on jdmfan about how to install the auto climate, but I guess that site is no more. So it looks like we are stuck just acting like we have it. I already got mine. Otherwise I think I would have been all over VX's. Oh well...

That wasn't for the auto it was just the face/cover install.

I cant believe that it would actually work. I have been throwing that stuff out.
If you want to try it and need me to get some or all of the parts for you give me
a PM.
