What Intake is this?
I just saw this picture in a thread gone to hell and was wondering what kind of intake/intake setup this is? Is it stock or is it an airbox type deal. + whats the cloth heat shield looking thing? Here the pic:

Thats what it looks like to me to, but I was like, I know I'm going to find out its some special spoon intake that costs like $700.00 and that foil stuff would be like mugen aluminum foil that costs $200.00 a roll. But its just a plain old home preject. Good to know. Thanks All.

maybe you guys should ask mickey the owner of the car before you start bashing it......his type-r is one of the nicest i have seen and i dont think he would do something like that without reason behind it

Too many people hate PERIOD on here!
I took that pic. Its of my Boy Mickeys ITR. Notice the TODA header in the pic. Car has more quality parts than many peoples cars who bash it. He had an Icebox on it at one time i believe and he does do track events. The wrapping does in fact cool the intake charge. No matter if it looks right or not it serves a purpose.
What im wondering is, why does it have to have looks, since when did looking good stand for function.
And just for kicks its physically one of the cleanest and spotless R's on the board. Defenately one of the top 10...

Amazingly enough, this board has started to turn into JDM fasion over any function. Pretty fricken sad.
