Default Bomz mufflers.

I am looking to put 2 rear mufflers on my EK civic, one at each side, under my Wingswest rear wrap. I can get the Bomz mufflers quite cheap and wondered if any of u lads ever had a Bomz muffler fitted?
Are they loud?
Good quality?

Bomz

Rule of thumb: Z instead of an S=rice.

it doesn't matter if they are crappy mufflers, you will have 2 of them. 2 crappy mufflers is the same as 1 good muffler. prove im wrong.

If you put a dual exhaust on your civic, you will go straight to hell.

They sound like ****. Very annoying ricey bee sounding and fart a lot. Dual exhaust Get one good muffler not two shitty ones.

if putting two mufflers on a 4 cylinder honda is so stupid. why do s2000's have dual exhausts? it's a matter of your own taste and style. who's the judge on what's rice or not? you yourself are the ultimate judge on that.

as for the mufflers, they're not that nice, but they're pretty darn cheap. try tenzo instead, pricier but of better quality. paying $200 for a jdm sticker or some other little non functional part is dumb as hell too. if rice is adding stuff to your car that is non functional performance wise, then the whole jdm thing is rice too.

do whatever you want to your car. it's yours, isn't it?

just do it and show off how cool it looks and post pics as well as a how-to. then we can judge whether its "cool" or not.

guys, bodykits and stuff might be 'rice' over in te USA but over in the UK they are the only thing you can insure extra on your car. We may as well have good looking cars if we cant have power mods.
Insurance companies dont want to know you over here if you have anything remotely powerful or any aftermarket parts.

So leave out the ricey business, hehe.

Im looking to get dual exit exhaust because i have smoothed(flushed) the bootlid and fitted a Wingswest rear wrap.
To make it look right it will need an exhaust on each side.

So please help.

I was told tenzo mufflers are ****.
I want 2 Apexi N1 mufflers but they are $$$$$$$

Man, im goin to be as nice as possible about this, but you sure are in the wrong place for this. This board is all about performance and not looks. Most people on this board wouldnt be caught dead with a friend that had a kit or in this instance dual exhaust on a civic.

I'd try a different board, maybe something local to you. That way you will talk with people interested in the same things you are. That or you could be different and build your car up a bit more subtle and still have a great looking car.

not real clear on where the "buy a JDM muffler" post was made.

There are a lot of people in the US that are into body kits, neons, and wings, etc. Don't think that everyone feels the same way about those types of modifications. It's just that a large number of people Honda-Tech would rather not do those types of upgrades.

I'll try to be diplomatic to our friend from across the ocean.

This board is more of a performance-oriented board (for the most part). Bodykits, 19" wheels, vinyl graphics, huge wings, neon, etc... are left for the showcar guys who are content to run the occasional 17 second 1/4 mile.

The Fast N Furious really screwed up the 'import scene' in the States. It'll only get worse with the second one.

To answer your question, most of those companies with the stunna/riceboy spellings (bomz, focuz, etc..) generally are crap. Avoid Tenzo, APC and Arospeed, too.

Borla and APEX make some nice universal fit mufflers that would probably be fine for your car (regardless of how lame duals on a Civic are).

do you have any Magnaflow dealers in Ireland? if so, check those out. not sure how much they'd be over there, but they're of good quality. http://www.magnaflow.com/02pro...2.htm
