hey, i have a buddy that wants to paint his rims black, my question is, do people go flat black, gloss black, or semi gloss black. im normally not into appearance too much, mostly all race, so i thought i would ask you guys for some advice on this topic. his car is orange, and he's going with the whole black and orange scheme, it'll look good, were just not sure what type of finish for the wheels.
any suggestions would be helpful, and if anyone has pics that would be cool too.
if this has already been discussed, i am so sorry, but when i searched too many things came up, and none totally answered my question.

whatever your buddy wants. since he has an orange car, i'm not sure if flat black wheels will bend nicely with his color. i'd go with gloss.

instead of powdercoating, could we just primer them and spray paint the rims? has anyone had experience with this?

what i did for my rims was primered it 3-4 times, its up to you. you can actually use regular spray paint, but make sure its black. n i used hi-temp paint.

GOD I LOVE those rims in black

i like them with the center plate and a red H.

Low or middle gloss will do.. too shiny for black will look early 90
