Whats the big deal with Rota's
Why are rotas so popular. To me, they dont even appear that great, yet i see tons of group buys on forums all over the web. Are they really light or something?

I got mine a few years back when Miata guys were using them for track wheels....back then they werent all over the place, before they were saturated in the honda market.
I always loved MF8's, but theres no way in hell I would pay for them. C8's look similar, are lightweight and super super cheap. I figured if I bent one, it can be replaced for under $100, so no big deal. I didnt know they would turn out to be so durable...they are really awesome wheels.
They defy the old saying IMO...cheap, light, AND strong. Rotas =

EDIT:
ohhhhhh you mean Rotas without the apostrophe... Rota's would imply someone named rota had ownership of something.
i like my spork sw388s... errr rota slips, lightweight and they look like spoons. I wonder if Japanese guys think we're cheap riceboys?

exactly...maybe one day we will all be able to get the real deal, but for now knock offs like rotas aren't bad at all.
