Default Civic Ferio Conversion, please advise.

Hey guys, I own a 99 Civic Sedan LX and Id like to convert it into a Civic Ferio. Id like to get it as close to the real deal as possible, minus the right hand drive. Then once thats completed, Id like to take it a step further and make it a Mugen Ferio. How do I do this, what parts are needed, and where can I get them? Ive searhed everywhere, and posted everywhere and just come up empty. I hope I can get some better answers than "Go buy GT2 it'll tell you everything." LOL.

Things you'd need for the conversion:

99-00 Si rims
99-00 Si front mesh grille
Factory chin spoiler
Sand and paint the factory side skirts
Factory rear under spoiler for the coupe
OEM JDM Sidemarkers

That takes care of the outside. You can usually find these parts used for cheap. I got my front chin spoiler and mesh grille with insert and trim for $150. I know Si rims run about $400+ This is just the basic stuff for a totally OEM Ferio...

i dont really have anything else to add to this, i just wnt to say that i think its rad as hell that people are starting to come around to the four door civs. I have to be honest-i bought mine because it was cheaper and easier to find then a hatchback (hatches are hard to find around here, and people charge an INSANE ammount of money for them), but after awhile, the shape really grew on me.

I really wanted a Coupe, but I think it takes a little more imagination to make the Sedan into an eye catcher. Gotta be different. Oh and theres a Ferio Group, if I could read Japanese Id probably join, heres the link for those interested. http://chiba.cool.ne.jp/civicfan/civicmap.html

Interesting page TreDee. I didn't think the Vi-RS model was that popular in Japan. I also found on of my friends out here in CA that did a Ferio Conversion to his 4 door EX.

beats the hell outta me, I e-mailed them for a price on a Ferio, the docks are in L.A., which is some 2 hours away, so I can tow the car home. I gotta find out info about customs and how I can get it in. If I can get my hands on one, I'll just strip it to hell, then sell the rest off to the junkyard.

Check it out, you can buy almost all of the parts here in the states heres what you'll need-

Front Grille from Si
Front Lip Spoiler from Si
Si Rims
Coupe Underbody Spoiler
Sedan Rear Spoiler
CTR Front headlights

Then you'll need the sidemarkers which you can find at http://www.optauto.com, and the hardest part, LHD Foldable side view mirrors. Dont buy JDM mirrors, those are made for a RHD car, they are different from LHD. Theres more, but those are the parts you can get here in the US before you have to order JDM.

Like TreDEE said, you can get most of the obvious exterior parts from your local Honda dealer..

Tokyo, September 3, 1998 --- Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced improvements to both the class-beating Civic 3-door and its 4-door cousin, the Civic Ferio. Several refinements have been made to the interior and exterior styling of both vehicle series. In addition, several Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) models are now available on certain 1.5L 4-door and 3-door grades instead of the 1.6L versions as before. LEV vehicles boast exhaust emission levels which are about one-tenth of the levels stipulated by existing Japanese regulations. An extra sports Vi-RS grade has also been added to the Civic Ferio series. The new Civic and Civic Ferio series will be available from September 4 at Primo dealers throughout Japan.

Civic Ri (LEV)

Civic Ferio Vi-RS

Main changes:
LEV engines are now available on certain more affordable 1.5L models instead of the 1.6L models as before. (Civic: Ri; Civic Ferio: Mi/ML)
New Vi-RS sports model added to Civic Ferio series
Exterior design changes made to front and rear (all models)
Design changes made to central interior panels (all models)

Some models feature both Grade Logic Control system (Honda Prosmatec) and Honda's unique advanced continuously variable automatic (Multi Matic-S) transmission, which offers stepless shifting pleasure (Civic: VTi/Ri; Civic Ferio: Vi-RS/Vi/Mi). Moreover, a special switch mounted on the steering wheel allows easy changes in driving mode.
Driver's seat manual seat-height adjuster now enables the adjustment of the front and rear parts of the seat separately
Additional external color options: Sunlight Yellow, Clover Green Pearl, Royal Grape Pearl, and Taffeta White
Body colored side protection panels (Civic: VTi/Ri; Civic Ferio: Si/Vi-RS/Vi)
Next-generation Honda Car Navigation system now offered as an option, including extra-wide 6-inch screen allowing use of "InterNavi" internet functions and twin maps, together with an internal CD-player plus AM/FM cassette radio
Principal features of new Civic Ferio Vi-RS:

Functions:

Honda Multi Matic-S continuously variable automatic transmission, featuring exclusive AMSS (Acceleration Map Select System) designed to give sportier performance off the block and when passing
