Default Nitrous on my ITR?

Hi!

I was thinking about getting a ~100hp shot for my ITR.... what mods should i do to keep the engine running?
The compression on European ITR's are 11.1
I was thinking i at least need to retard ignition etc....do i also need stronger pistons and rods?

I drive the car every day, so i really dont want it to blow up or something

I previously installed a 80-shot on my b16a2 without problems, but i think that maybe the ITR is more sensitive for nitrous?

(My ITR is stock, except CAI and exhaust)

I would stick with a 70 shot of NOS and buy a DC Sports 4-1 header. I went 13.2@106mph consistently for well over a year before going to boost with that set up.

Just check the plugs regularly to make sure you are not runing to lean.

I ran 50 shot then 75 shot on stock everything, stock block, fuel pump etc for about a year... Only had induction and muffler. Retarded timing a couple degrees though. Had no trouble apart from running pretty rich near redline on 75 shot.

my buddy had a 60 shot on his type r for about 2 months and blew up his motor, i'm not a fan of nitrous, at least on the R's, because of the compression. i think it justs eats away you motor. he had metel shavings in his oil everytime he changed it.

thats becuase he's prob a retard and abused the juice without taking proper care of the motor.
im so sick of hearing the same bull $hIt about how it sbad for the motor blah blah blah . nitrous works better with compression actually. Please get educated and read a book or something .

Nitrous is very safe as long as its tuned correctly. I plan on running 100 shot on my built ITR motor w/ 11.5:1 CR. Should be fun.
My friend runs 150 shot on his stock GSR bottom end, runs 12.5@116 w/ 2.3 60'. If he can get his 60' below 2.0 he will be in 11's.

Sounds like this thread is gonna goto hell in Flames!

Watch the plugs. I have found that to be the weak point on Higher compression motors that i have worked with that used N2O. If you run 2 steps colder and Gap them to 37-40 it should work out nicely

Everyone else who has ran Nitrous on their R please share what helped you the most...

Also Blynkins, is your friends hatch WHITE by any chance??? If so its a BADDDD ****!

cmon man , im just telling the truth, how can you say its bad , your friend blew his motor from missuse or wasnt hooked up right. i sprayed for over 2 years on this motor and boosted for about 8 months so far and my compression is still about 250 across the whole board. I have never had a problem. and i never sprayed no 60shot bullshit 80 to start 100 when i got used to it and i was ready to jet it for 125 shot
