yeah because these shocks were actually built for performance, not a stunna stance.

i personally run nuespeed race springs with rates of 435lbs. F and 330lbs R on my 93 civic coupe. i also have the kyg agx 4 way adjustables and ST front and rear sways. i been on them about a year. they have held just fine. the springs are supposedly a 2.25 drop in the front and 2 inches in the rear, but its nothing close to a stunna stance.
kyb has to have some limit and cut off point to advertised recommended lowering. ive heard of this "no more then 2 inches lowered" for a warranty to work, but my car has done fine. and they can tell if the car was lowered more then 2 inches by taking the shock apart and looking at wear marks/patterns.
my advice to you is match your springs accordingly, so one or the other is not doing too much work, thereby decreasing its capability to do its job. suspension work is a system. plan accordingly. you'll blow anything if its not matched properly.
this is a pic of my car for reference:

for? saving your tires? if so, an alignment setting toe to factory specs or even zero all the way around will do more to save tires then a camber kit will.
