Default removing emblem too hard!

i broke the one for the front trying to take it off so i can paint it... i used floss but when it got to the 2 pins, it was too hard to take off, and the emblem got bent on one side so i just broke it off into 2 pieces... how do you do it?

fishing line is so much more durable. but be careful with it.. be gentle and act like youre flossing a pop corn kernel outta your teeth, go around the pins (should be two of them) until youve got the emblem separated from the surface. after that you have to gently work the emblem loose using a flathead (cover it in a couple layers of kleenex so as not to scratch the paint) and work it until it comes loose enough to gently pry it off the car.

key words of this operation:
Patience
Gently

just use tar and bug remover, let sit, and wipe with a clean rag.. fishing line only, not very hard..
