my friend just bought a 4th gen civic hatch and doesnt know what model the car is. it has a 1.6 so i thought it was an si what models do they come in? lmk

no sunroof. all i know is in the 5th gen hatches is that all the models except the si has a 1.5 is it the same in the 4th gens?

 

Whats the engine code? It sounds like its a lower model-SI's have sunroofs...like you didnt know that by now...

 

im tring to get the engine code but im still waiting on it. were the 4th gen si's vtec?
what other model 4th gen civics come with the 1.6 liter

 

somebody probably put that motor in there? the si's are a 1.6 non v tec. it's a d16a6 motor in the 4th gen si's. look on the left side of the block at the top. there is a motor designation stamp there. post what it is and these guys in here can tell you what it is and from where.

 

thanks for the help.... i can figure out what engine and model it is when i get the engine code i was just trying to find out cause i dont know when the kid is gonna tell me the code.
