Default Corbeau Forza Seat ? (anyone)

Anyone have any experience with this seat?

We are thinking about buying this for the Accord race car.

Corbeau Forza Seat - $220

Standard features include:

-tubular steel frame
-injection molded foam
-integrated full body support
-5-point harness capability
-leatherette high-wear patches
-Pirelli webbing
-FIA Homologation

Thanks

Probably ok for what you need, but they're not all that comfortable and the seat cover isnt as durable as some other seats.

As with most things you get what you pay for

I have them in my track car and am fairly pleased with them. They are comfortable enough for daily commuting (short trips) and I have not gotten uncomfortable after 30 min track sessions.

In my case, they actually were significantly HIGHER than the stock seats, so I've had some clearance issues with the helmet that were not anticipated. This is partly due to the bottom mount required by the seats, and also due to the quirky mounting required in my '73 Celica.

I've not used them long enough to comment on durability, but others say that they don't hold up well.

The seem to lack a little lower back support, but there are pillows sold separately if you need it.

Bryan~

I put the Forza in my ITR since i was on a budget for the HPDE's that i do. I actually like the seat overall. I know there are much nicer seats out there but for $220 it isn't that bad. Mine came with the removable cushion that you can take out and sit lower in the seat. I always take it out for HPDE days. Cushion is left in for street driving. If you had more money by all means get a better seat but for the $ they are not bad.

I've been searching for a used Sparco, or Momo, with very little luck. Most were still well over $300-350 plus another $50-60 for shipping. I found this seat on OG's site. It's cheap, and I can drive 30 min's and pick it up.

Thanks for the feedback.

Bryan-

I really like the Momo Start. Louis at ltbmotorsport.com has them for $245. Great seat for the dough.

fwiw, Brett@soloracer.com has the corbeau forza for right around $220. And he has either free shipping or low flat rate.

Jason, how big is the Momo Start? I was looking at that, but the specs for the seat look as though its pretty narrow.
anybody with a Start going to be at Summit so I can sit in it?

I really think you'd be fine with it. It felt really comfortable to me, and the students that I had during my one day of insanity (in-car instructing) really liked it as well.

I'm 5'11", 215lbs.

I sat in corey's car and while the seat fits fine i like the Evo better - i feel like i'm sitting "in" the seat with the evo rather than "on" the seat with the momo start. Also, momo acropolis seat is very nice, but more reclined than most.

Kirkey is now making a new "Intermediate" ROAD RACE seat... very much like the $600 seat that they also still make, but this new seat is only $299. I have the more expensive one, but would have bought this one if it existed a couple years ago. All road-racers should check this out.

I plan to, but wanted some feeback from people who have either raced, or driven a car with this seat.

Chad, that seat wouldnt be very cost efficient, considering it cost more than the car, when it was purchased a year ago..

I'm still searching for a tire that adds 50hp ea. Any ideas? 100hp 4 door Accord = fun (except when it comes to straight line speed)..

Evan, thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look.

I have one. I am 5'7" and 230+ lbs. The seat does well with my larger rear end. For beter safety, I will buy a full fiberglass seat next.

Bryan,

I think it is a great seat for the money. I have driven Eleanor's car many times with that seat, and I find it pretty comfortable for a race seat.

For the money the seat is a good value. I have done some enduro events in it and haven't had any comfort complaints. Also the wear patches are nice.

My only complaint is that I am a bit tall for it and my helmet hits the frame at the top of the seat back. Of course there are nicer and more comfortable seats, but for the money... its a good deal.

I have the Forza in my car, i commute ~45mins each way to work w/ it. It never has bothered me one time, my Corbeau Targa RS is more uncomfortable than the Forza. In my car I sit at least 4inches lower than stock, and thats w/ the seat cushion in. I haven't had a chance to autox/hpde the car w/ it yet, i jsut got it running a few wks ago. Still working out a few problems.

I would never have used it in my car if it wasn't.
