I might go buy an 89 CRX SI today, but there isn't a bumper on it. Not the front plastic bumper cover, but the actual steel bumper that sits behind that. We checked around at the local yards and can't find a CRX, but we did find a 4G Civic SI hatchback. Would the steel bumper from the Civic work in place of the Rex's bumper? Or could we be super ghetto for the time being and use a 4x4 or something along those lines until I can find one locally for a CRX?

Another idea we were thinking of... one of my friends has a spare bumper for a 93 Civic hatch... we were thinking maybe we could make this work. The rason I'm asking all of these questions is because I'm not exactly sure how much the front bumper cover depends on the actual steel bumper to stay in place. The kid that I'm buying it from said that he doesn't think the front bumper will stay on without the actual bumper bumper behind it. If anyone has any experience on this, please help me out. Thanks.
